Hello,

I've got an issue trying to read an XVID avi file with any
player. While trying to open it from the explorer with
bsplayer 4 example, or any other player, it closes both the
avi reader and the explorer windows. I have upgraded my Ace
Mega Codecs Pack yesterday, as I never had problems with it
before, and I can read other xvid files.
I'm running XP Pro with SP1 on an Athlon TB 1,2Gh 384Mo ram
Could someone help ?

Thank u in advance

I'm having the same problem. If/when I get a response I
will forward it to you. If you get a response first,
maybe you could forward yours to me?

BTW, as a workaround, open a command window
(start/run/cmd) and use it to rename the file
from "filename.avi" to "filename.avj" or some other
innocent extension. Then, you will be able to go into
explorer and manipulate the file, including running the
file through Divfix to try to fix any corruption and then
playing it (hopefully) with your media player. At the
very least, explorer will stop crashing.

Good luck!
