When I use the scroll buttons, the screen moves in a
jerking motion (it used to be smooth, and this problem
just started). I have cable, and it is running at 1.8
MPS, so it's not related to a slow connection. Also, when
I'm on any page (like Google) and I try to type in the
input boxes, and the appearance of the letters is delayed
by several seconds. I haven't changed a thing on my
computer!!! Help!!!

Sounds like your computer is extremely busy. It is
possible that you have several windows open. Try closing
some of them and see if it runs better. Also if you have
several icons on your task bar (near the clock in the
bottom right hand corner of your screen) they may be using
up your available resources as well. If it continues, you
may want to decrease the number of programs that load on
bootup, increase your virutal memory or buy additional
memory for your computer.

I'm only running one window. Also, I only have two icons
in the lower right (speaker and mouse icons). I have 256
MB Ram and my computer is a 486. Resources being used
show that I have 75% available. Like I said, this just
started happening. I haven't added any programs or made
any changes to my system.
I've also noticed that some of my programs are taking
longer to load now. I've got plenty of room and power.
It almost feels like something is running in the
background (there is no virus program running in the
background, though).
I should note that Netscape runs fine...

You might want to check for adware or spyware running on
the PC. One good way is to go to download.com and install
AdAware 6. It's safe and free, and might help clean up
any "hitchhikers".

You rock! Ad-aware 6 did the trick. Thanks!
