Explorer pauses before drawing folder icons

The file browser (explorer) started pausing for a couple of seconds when
I open a folder. It pauses before it draws the folder icons.

I installed the recent DirectX update, and I thought that was the
problem, because I also noticed a pause when a game first started up.
But I don't see anyone else with that problem.

The only other thing I installed recently was the Nero CD burning tool.
I also have the Microsoft Antispyware.

Hi Doug!
You don't state whether or not you have a video card. Assuming you don't
it could be that your using a bit more of your ram for the video than
previous. Some more information could be helpful e.g ram, processor,
operating system, you get the idea.
