When uninstalling programs I feel sure I mistakenly pressed yes when prompted 'removing these files may affect computer working properly' and sure enough it has. Couldn't get on line, kept recycling to desktop after trying for minutes sometimes. Went to provider, he concluded probable explorer problem. Decided to format drive, won't let me, keeps saying something running. tried 'run/format, system confiuration/format and right clicking drive letter and format and again I get close down open programs/utilities but there is nothing open at all.It offers to do a dismount with the usual warnings of losing all data, but not happens, Tried the usual System restore. using XP operating system, Windows Professional Any help at all would be appreciatedhing
