I continually run into a problem where I cannot delete a
video or audio file that Explorer has put its nasty
little footprint on. I get the message "Error deleting
file or folder" and the instruction to close any programs
that are using the file. The file using it is Explorer,
even after I have turned off the "Duration" and "Bit
Rate" fields, and saved my settings to reflect that. I
can't kill the file from the DOS prompt either, UNTIL I
shut down Explorer.
Does anyone know why Explorer puts a death grip on a
file, and how to get Explorer to release said chokehold?
I'd pull my hair out if I had any left. Advice gladly
accepted.
