I am running Vista. Recently, Explorer will lock up sporatically when I hope
links, within a web site. Explorer locks up and I have to close and re-open
the program. Any easy fixes? Any idea what's happening?

I see my install of IE7 doing the same thing lately. I have Google as
my default home page and often when firing up the shortcut that starts
the browser it just hangs and doesn't follow through and load the
Google site which is normally very fast to load. I need to go to Task
Manager to give IE a kick to shut it down. Probably another poorly
written Microsoft update that's messing it up. No, it isn't any
malware or virus. I have multiple applications that check for that
constantly.

Probably not.
My google.com home page opens fast.

Either its the network connection or some other application.

Start guessing...you seem good at that.
