Hello,

I want to create a new link to explorer.exe with "my computer" as startup
view.
I managed to specify a startup directory with explorer.exe /e,<directory>
but how can I specify "my computer" as startup dir?

Thank you for your help

Hello Shrek,

Copy-and-Paste the following line as the target of your shortcut.

%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

This works for mine, I assume it will work for you too.

Best regards,

Richard in Va.

Hi Shrek,

Richard's suggestion works. If you search
{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} in registry key, you will find it
indicates "My Computer" :)

Have a good day.

Best regards,

Sherk,

Glad it works!

I posted the same question several months ago and some kind soul shared this
with me too.

Although it works well, I have a tendency not to use it because it seems to
take alittle longer to load.

Or maybe it's just time for a new PC.

Best regards,
