Explorer Hangs

Hi hope some one can help: When i click on start and then
my picture folder the computer hangs and i have to hit
ctrl,alt,del and close explorer to get back to my
desktop. I have tried opening this folder in my computer
and in explorer it happens every time.

Check your startup settings to find out if some software running in
the background is causing this. Applications that start with Windows
can be found here:
- the WIN.INI, section [windows], entries "run=" and "load="
- the Registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
- the folders
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\{username}\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
