Hi,
I have a very weird problem. When I connect (remote desktop)on my pc from
the university, if I try to browse in a folder, or explore my computer,
explorer.exe fails, and start again. I can do whatever i want else than that
(like surfing the net or working on applications.) In event viewer, i can
see no error, but only that The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe
was restarted. ( event 1002).
Im running win xp pro, sp2 and all updates done.

I'm having a similar problem. I've noticed over the last week or so that a
couple of the machines I connect to have very bad performance when using
Windows Explorer on the remote machine. If I want to transer files, it's
very painful to navigate through the folders because each one displays so
slowly. Also, if I jump to another app running on my desktop and then go
back to the RDC session, Windows Explorer on the remote machine will
partially redraw, then just sit there. Sometimes it will finish refreshing
and be ok, but sometimes it hangs. Not sure what is causing this, but I'm
wondering if it has to do with the antivirus software on the remote. Kind
of a guess really, but not outside the realm of possibilities. Any help
would be appreciated.
