I have done a scan of my computer and have rid myself of all infections but
quite frequently if I open up a file using Windows Explorer and shut it down
again the processor is at 100%. I look at Task Manager and Explorer is using
95% of the processor only allowing 5% for other applications.

Any Suggestions????

Hi,
I've often seen this problem when I've left my machine
running for a week or two w/out a reboot; it seems like
something gets stuck somewhere in what Explorer thinks
it's doing. Is this the case for you? If so, I'm afraid I
don't have an answer beyond 'reboot your machine' which
is pretty lame, but it's the only thing I've found to
work.

If you're getting this after having recently turned your
machine on, I'm not sure what's up.

Cheers,
E.
