In Windows Vista Explorer there's a box towards the top left hand corner called Favorites, above the folders section. I consider
this a complete waste of space and an eyesore. Is there any way to get rid of it so that the left column only contains folders?
(like the earlier windows versions).
Thanks for any help.

Not sure but you can drag up the line that separates the folder section so
you don't see the others.

Hi,

It's part of the navigation pane. If you remove it
(Organize/Layout/Navigation Pane), then you will also lose the folders
section. If you want to keep the folders tree, the only option is to do as
Jane and Rock have already mentioned and drag up the divider line.
