Hi! I'm using Windows XP Professional SP2, up to date using windows update.
I have been working as usual in my computer. But this morning when I logged
in, I received an error message, something like this "Windows: No disc
detected", in order to logged in I clicked "Continue" and I was able to enter
windows. Next time I logged in I didn't have my task bar, there were no icons
in my desktop, right-clic disabled. However if I clic Ctrl+Alt+Del I'm able
to explore all my HDs, run programs, etc... BUT.... If I run explorer.exe it
loads for 3 seconds then explorer interface disappears and explorer.exe
process disappears from task manager. I have tried running explorer.exe up to
ten times and I get the same result.
I have started my computer in save mode, and all modes availables and I
still have the same issue.
I have used this command SFC.EXE /SCANNOW and it seems system files are
recovered but I still have the same issue?
Any idea?
I know I can make a (low-level) format, but I don't want to lose all my
applications and information.
Thanks!
