Hi,
I am a new user on Win2kPro.
I frequently get a message dialog, titled "Program Error"
saying "explorer.exe has generated errors and will be
restarted. An error log is being created".
This dialog seems to be generated for a multitude of
reasons like: After a Cut/Copy - Paste action in Explorer,
or simply closing the Explorer window by clicking the 'X'
button.
This happens several times during the day. However no
untoward happens but I think it is definitely a problem.
The only thing that happens is the taskbar gets refreshed.
The positions of "program tabs" displayed on the takbar
change.
The icons of certain programs, running, disappear from the
System tray.
However the Task Manager reveals the programs are still
running they have not terminated.
Found no way of getting their icons back in the system
tray (other than terminating the programs and restarting
them)
The error dialog says an error log is being created, BUT
WHERE ?
Any way to rectify this problem?
