This occurs when I go to a networked folder and attempt

This occurs when I go to a networked folder and attempt
to open any file.

I have encountered the same problem. My SharedDocs folder is listed
with computer "unknown". Opening any subfolder causes either the above
error message or Windows Explorer is just blown away without an error
message.

I do not recall making any changes to my computer recently. It's
possible I installed a Windows Update.

I have found only a couple other discussions of this problem, neither
of which reached a solution.
