Hello.
I'm having "explorer.exe error" every time I try to open a folder, or
control panel, or My Computer. The o.s. is Windows XP Home PT.
This error detail is refering to shdocvw.dll, and I try to replace the file,
but is in use, so is impossible to replace it.
I even upgrade to I.E 7, and the problem remains. I even can't re-install
I.E. throught add and remove programs, because I gives me the error message
when I try to open control panel. If I reboot the computer, every
applications works, but If I try to open a folder the error comes again and
task bar will be blocked. I've try to re-install windows xp SP2, and the
error remains.
I've cheked for viruses/spyware and it's clean.
Any ideas for this strange issue?

Well you didn't try the obvoius hich is reinstall IE.
But first try this, register this DLL by opening the Run Command and type
this:
regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll click [OK]
If the above did solve the problem then try Uninstall/Repair of IE6 from the
Add/Remove programs in control panel.
HTH.
Please let us know.
Regs,
nass
