Explorer.exe corrupted? Need new one?

I had the svchost.exe worm/problem and downloaded the
update which mostly fixed the problem. However whenever I
start windows 2000 I get the message that explorer.exe
must be shut down. This limits my file management. I've
rebooted 10 times and each time I reboot and enter
windows, explorer.exe crashes.

I assume it has become corrupted. How can I easily
reinstall it from the W2000 cdrom or download it again?
And if I get it from someone else who has W2000 (I now
have server pack 4), will it still be the same?

Perhaps the System File Checking Utility will be able to replace the file.  SFC.exe

well i have the same problem as you,on this website it says to remove the aventail conncet client....,i've just gone online and i get this file all the time...have you fixed yours?.
