Explorer error

I get an error

Line: 421 (or some other line)
Char: 1
Error: Object Expected
Code:0
URL: (whatever site)

I have gotten this on quite a few pages and it stops me from say, listing
items on eay or using links. I dont get the error using mozilla or using IE
on my wifes computer. Any idea what I may have done to bork IE on my PC?
I am running XP with all current updates and patches.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.
