explorer error

I have windows millenium and have had yahoo DSL installed.

I have started getting the message Internet Explorer has
caused an error in MSHTML.DLL when I click on Internet
Explorer to get on the Internet.

If I get on the interent through yahoo dsl the message
does not happen.

I prefer to get on directly through explorer because it
offers search features not available in Yahoo

I am not tecchie by any stretch of the imagination.

Can anyone help?
