explorer error message - cant access i.e.

Every time I try to open internet explorer I get the
report error message box and it won't allow me to access
explorer. Any suggestions why this is happening?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Frank, Thanks for your response. If you don't mind I'd like to expand further....
I'm not sure but I think trying Ad-Aware started my problem. I tried Ad-Aware last week and quarantined all items it found (was this the correct thing to do?).
After doing so I had a problem accessing a DVD capture program I have because it was missing a file with a .dll extension. Even after I restored the quarantined items I still could not access the program. Ultimately I did a system restore.
Now I'm getting the microsoft error window everytime I try to access a web site through ie, (the one that asks you to send or not send the error to microsoft).
I can still access the sites as long as i don't close the window.
I guess what I'm getting at is that when I use Ad-Aware how do I know what files not to select?
Thanks for respoding to my ignorance.

If you like them Related button you'll have to restore the Alexa registry
key and values that Ad-Aware removes. This is not the Alexa spyware.

Frank, thanks for your help and advice. I ran the SpyBot program and everything works fine after I did some deletions.
Pages load up a lot faster.
