Hello All,

I can't even open folders in My Network Places now. This all used to work
fine up until I downloaded some recent Windows Updates (some of which I
think are not uninstallable) about a week ago. Sometimes, I get the "needs
to shut down" message, and have sent the info to MS. The error seemed to
occur in Shell32.dll.

Sometimes I get the message: The instruction at "0x7749745f" referenced
memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be read. This message title
says Explore.Exe, Application Error.

I do not have this problem with my laptop which does not have SP1 or many of
the recent Windows Updates on it.

I guess I'll have to go back to burning CDs to move my stuff around. What
to do?

Hi Bill
I have the same problem to but am unable to find any
answers to it so far, I have seen several posts with
similar problems but total silence as to the cause.
