My employer has a policy whereby they automatically delete e-mail that is over 90 days old.
I have been moving important e-mail into a folder called e-mail under MyDocuments.
One of the features that had been helpful in Outlook was the fact that I could search (Much Quicker then the OS Search) and I could also find a contact and show all of the e-mail correspondence for that contact.
Is there a better way to manage e-mail within Outlook that could get around the need for moving messages to avoid automatic deletion?
I would love to be able to use the features present in Outlook without the worry of losing important e-mail.

Note:
The thought behind the subject "Explorer E-Mail" is....it would be nice if there were an applet that could run in an explorer window and if a file ends with .msg would display all of the e-mail's attributes and allow the messages to be searchable as they are in Outlook.
