In MS Explorer, when the folders for drive E: are displayed in the left side
(Folders), and I click on drive D:, the folders for drive E: are collapsed.
How do I get the folders for drive E: to keep displaying?

Click the + sign instead of the drive.

Or get rid of Simple Folder View FriendlyTree

Open Folder Options...
Start | Run | Type: control folders | Click OK |
View tab | UNSelect: Display simple folder view in Explorer's Folders list |
Click Apply | Click OK

Display simple folder view in Explorer's Folders list
[[Click a folder in Windows Explorer to automatically display its contents

automatically closed when a different folder is clicked. Click the plus or
minus sign to hide or display other folders and their contents, without
closing previously opened folders.]]

Thanks Wesley; The previous reply from Dave answered my question but it
didn't change the way that Explorer behaved, which I guess is what I really
wanted, but didn't know what to ask. With your suggestion, it makes explorer
behave the way I'm used to. Thanks.

Dave; Thanks for the answer on how to keep the other folders from collapsing.
It worked, but I found I was wanting explorer to behave in the "old" way.
The next posting from Wesley showed how to turn off what MS calls "simple
folder", and that changes the behavior to be the way I'm used to. So it
works great now and thanks to you both.

I really knew what you wanted to ask. LOL Just kidding.

Keep having fun.
