Hi all,
I noticed, on my XP home system, that window's Explorer
displays zip files in the "folders view", as it they were
file folders. We can expand it, and see the contents,
just like we can with directories.
This has recently come to annoy me, however.
I recently started using DVD media to backup data, and
found that Explorer takes a long time to "log-into" and
diplay the root contents of DVD discs.
I assume that's because Explorer "snoops into" the large
zip files (several hundred MBs) that are there, which takes
time.
Is there a way to disable that "Auto-snoop-into-zipfiles"
"feature" ?
Thanks.
