My question is in regards to deleting or renaming accounts in run/control userpasswords2. Will renaming an account also rename the associated directory? Also, I am the sole user of this system, and there is no network attached. Nonetheless, I have subdirectorys under C: for All Users, Thomas (me, with administrator rights), Default users, and Owner. The latter 3 have the same identity under Application Data, but varies apps seem to have installed pieces of themselves around all the above directories. I guess I'm asking if it's normal to have that many users, and should I try to merge them or is that just asking for a real headache?

Hi Thomas,

I have the same settings (User, All users, Default user), they are the
system settings, just leave them as they are.

Regarding your question, you can change an account's name, but the
name of the folder will remain as it originally was.

Hope this helps.

Comforting.....thanks. I won't be trying anything radical.

You're welcome, Thomas :)

Regarding the folders, my Default User folder only occupies 5.7 MB of
space, which is very small in today's harddrives.
