Just out of curiosity, do you do a Google search or any other sort of
research before posting a question to a newsgroup? Your question is a common
one that's been answered numerous times in the past. That said, here's my
take on the situation.
Those folders are created when an update, hotfix or service pack for Windows
is installed.
As long as you're satisfied that you will not have to uninstall the update,
you can delete any of the folders that are named similar to
$NtUninstallKBXXXXXX$ as well as$NtServicePackUninstall$ in the C:\Windows
folder. It's usually a good idea to wait a few weeks before deleting the
folders. Another option is to copy them to a CD or DVD just in case they're
ever needed. Personally, I recommend leaving them in place unless you're
running short of hard drive space and moving to a larger hard drive is not
an option.
Note: Do not delete the $hf_mig$ folder. Windows Update uses this folder
during future updates.
