Explorer being corrupted at reboot.. IE reinstall to repair..

I have a 2k server that gets the explorer corrupted at each reboot.. to fix
this i have to reinstall IE. I have run all the scanners and malware
scanners that i have found. I run norton antivirus and have even ran the
Trendmicro scan. All come out clean. I originally thought that it was Alexa
(ora variant) since I found that on there as well.

any ideas of where i can look for the spawner??

I forgot to mention that after it gets corrupted I cannot see any files.. If
I use explore i can see the folders in the folders pane but nothing in the
right pane but a square empty icon.
