The familiar windows explorer folders column on the left
hand side of explorer after installing the current service
pack on win2k has completely greyed itself out. There are
no folders to see and closing the explorer bar and
reopening it does nothing to resolve the problem. I've
seen this once before on Windows 98SE after performing an
update about twelve months ago however never worried about
fixing it, just formatted & reloaded (it was due for it
anyway) Unfortunately that is not a viable option in this
particular case.
Any ideas how to rememdy this? The closest match on the
knowledge base is 818090 however what it describes is
somewhat different in that I can see files in the right
hand window in the same manner as I could if I
had've "opened" the folder instead of selected "explore".
Tried what that article suggested without any success.
Any help most appreciated!
