On January 14 I turned on my pc and opened Outlook and began reading my
email. An antispyware notice popped up in the lower right corner of my screen
that said "An Internet Explorer bar requires your approval". Below that
message was the following information:
Name: Microsoft Windows Operating Sysytem
Description: Shell Doc Object and Control Library
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation
Path: c:\windows\system32\shdocvw.dll
I blocked it because I didn't know what it was. I wasn't installing any
software, I was just reading email. I am running Windows XP, IE 6.0 and
Outlook 2003. Was this some kind of update to software on my pc that I should
not have blocked? Thanks.
