Explorer abruptly quits when I submit information

In the past two days, IE is abruptly shutting down the
browser window each time I submit any information, (ie,
hotel reservation, zip code for locating a store,
direction for a map etc). Any ideas why this is
happening? My first post to this website was lost due to
it closing the window. Please help. Thanks in advance.
