I am going to have my working computer used in another
office not related to my present work. I had alot of
sensitive information on the computer. Is it true even
though I delete It is still on there somewhere? I
thought Explorer 6 delete this stuff if I download from
the company? Or do I need a drive cleaner?

Your right, when you delete files in Windows, they are
still on your disk, but the names are removed from the
directory structure. If you want to see what is remaining
on your disk and could be recovered, go to http://r-
undelete.com/ and dowload the demo version.... You'll be
amazed !!
To erase all traces you need to overwrite your files on
your disk...i.e. reuse the "empty space"...
I have tested several tools that claim to overwrite your
empty disk space. Untill today, none of these tools has
performed well enough so that I couldn't recover files
from my drive.
The only trick that works is to take a CDROM full of non-
sensitive data and copy it in several temporary
directories untill your disk is full. Then delete these
files again. Now all the sensitive data is gone.....
Hope the explanation helps

Yes, someone with the right tools can still recover a lot of it.
