Explorer 6 Not Responding

My system habitually quits working after web surfing for a few minutes.
After leaving my home page and traveling to a few (less than 5, typically)
other web sites, I am unable to open any other web page. IE indicates that
it is "Not Responding" and no other attempts will rescue it. I'm forced to
shut the machine down and reboot.

I've also noticed that the pop-up blocker I use (Google) has been pretty
ineffective. Don't know if these two symptoms are related, just thought I'd
mention it.
 
You may have spyware present which can cause this problem
in IE. Go to www.spybot.com and download and install
their software. It's free (or you can make a donation)
Install and run it as per instructions and the re-start
your computer and try IE again.
