Explore hangs when browsing "My Computer"

Rocking Corgi Ranh

We have installed all critical updates through 7/11.
Now, when browsing "My Computer", computer ceases to
respond for a few minutes and we are unable to choose a
sub-folder. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hi there!

Are you by any chance running a Local Area Network? I've
found problems with Explorer opening when there is a
problem with the LAN. Problems could include a faulty
Network Interface Card or Firewall programs installed on
other PC's.
