Hi all,

I recently upgraded to the P4P800 Delux ASUS motherboard.

Can anyone explain to me what the settings mean on the Power Menu Suspend
Mode [Auto] ?

The configuration options are: [S1 (POS) Only] [S3 Only] [Auto].

I have it set to [Auto], but that interfears with the 'Sleep' button on my
KB, I think. I don't want to put it to sleep, just activate the Screen
Saver. In fact I don't want the MB to control the power at all. I wish
Windows to do the controlling.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance,

Ted

Look in Power Options in Control Panel. There should be a box in Advanced
which asks you what you want to do when you press Sleep. Unfortunately for
you, active screen saver is not one of them.

Thanks, Darkfalz.

Your tip led me to the conclusion I was looking for.

1. Power Menu Suspend Mode - [Auto].

2. The Control Panel PM = [Do Nothing}

3. My Keyboard Utility allows the PC to go into Sleep Mode properly.

Regards,

Ted
