This error message keeps showing up when I turn my
computer on. If I "x" out everything works fine. How can
I get rid of it?

..

Thank you for your response.

The errors read "System error" - "Unable to open dialog
box" - "Status:
expl32". They appear on 3 screens layered on top of one
and other. I have
installed a new 2004 Norton Anti-Virus and through
research learned that is
is both a Trojan and Backdoor type of virus. I think it
is in a hidden
file. The solution I got was from Trendmicro.com -
Bkdr_explore32.@. It
says that I should see a new sub key called Explore 32
with a value of
":\WINDOWS\Expl32.exe
.. The only thing close that shows up on the
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Run is
"WINNT\system32\hid.exe". So I've not made any progress
beyond that. Any
suggestions would be VERY a[ppreciated. I feel certain it
is a stubborn
virus. Thanks much!

I wouldn't trust some unknown program called "hid.exe". You can try to
remove whatever you're infected with using antivirus software and spyware
scanners. Beyond that, there's not much to recommend other than a clean
install to be sure that all the mal-ware is gone.
