When activating program I am still occasionally getting
the message that this version HAS expired on 31 Dec. next!!
System summary is also sometimes showing last scan on Dec.
30 1899!! I have the latest version and latest Definitions.

Check the date and time first.
Then go to control panel, Date, Time, Language, and Regional options
Choose Regional and Language options, and click on the Customize button on
the displayed page.
Click on the date tab. Find the short date format and long date format
dropdown controls, and reset each one to the topmost choice.

I've seen this symptom posted once before--perhaps by you?

Follow Andre's advice--it should take care of it.

Date and Time are correct - Time set to 12 hour format.
Under Regional Options I cannot find a 'Customize' Button
but under Date both short and long date formats are
already set to topmost value. Sorry if I misunderstand - I
am not a Computer whiz kid!!

Hmm--about all I can fall back on is the clear statement at the download
site about "U.S. English only."

I find it truly remarkable that this is variable for you--all the other
cases of this kind of symptom have appeared to be hard and fast--it either
works or doesn't work--is expired or is not expired.

Is this a non-English version of Windows? I've had a couple of posts, one
from Germany, and another from Japan, I believe, where posters were unable
to get past an expiration issue.

I have Windows 2000 Pro.I am in Dublin, Ireland and
Language was set to English (Ireland). I have changed it
to US English and will see if this solves the problem??

The issue is more about the date formats than the language settings, per se.
Setting US English should reset those formats, I believe.

You may even find that setting US English (and then making your schedule
settings--if you want to schedule in the afternoon!)--and then resetting to
English (Ireland) will fix this issue for you--because it will reset the
date formats to the defaults.
