Is there a freeware bookmark manager that allows you to set a "permanent" or
"temporary" status on a bookmark. I sometimes want to visit a website
several times over one week and then never again. Keeping it in my list
clutters it up, and I'd rather it expired automatically. Just now I use a
folder marked temporary, but have to empty it myself.

For those "several times over one week and then never again"
bookmarks, as an IE user, suggest setting your IE history folder to 7
days, and simply click "history" on the toolbar for that site recently
visited, setting 'view' to that which is most convenient.
Works great!

Unfortunately not. I also surf sites that I don't want to have to look
through again. History keeps everything, dross and all.
