This beta is due to expire on July 31. What will happen
next? Will it be extended automatically? Will the
activation be required in order to continue to use it?
Will it still be a beta by then or will it become part of
XP2 and, even more remote, of Longhorn?
 
This hasn't been announced. I could concieve of the beta being extended,
but more likely there will be a final product offering. Whether it will
cost money is not yet announced.
