I have been unable to extend my Beta version of spyware.
Even when I contacted Microsoft they told me not to worry
that the Beta time has been extended to 12/31. "Microsoft
is not about to let you off the hook financially."

Now my version is disconnected, and I can't download a
replacement. If I can't contact some knowledgable at
Microsoft, what do I do?

Ken

download the latest version, save file to disk. Then
install it.

Ken - Please follow Jim Macklin's advice. Unfortunately,
once the beta expires, although the code prompting for a
newer version available still runs, you cannot actually
perform the download within the program.

You need to download as Jim suggested, and run the
downloaded file. It will upgrade your current version
and extend the expiration date.

Microsoft has reiterated time and time again that this
product's capabilties will remain available without
additional cost for validly licensed Windows customers.
