Experience, feedback on HP's 8450?

Please, does anyone have experience with HP's Photosmart 8450?

Photosmart 8250 reviews note this printer's graininess. Since the 8450
works with fewer colors, is it right to suspect that required dithering
lessens graininess?

I have the Photosmart 8750 and the Photosmart 2650 (which has print
quality similar to the 8450).

The 8450 and the 8250 are both six ink printers, although the underlying
technology is different. The best way to answer a question about print
quality is to actually look at a print from the printer you are
interested in. If you would like to email me a quality jpg and your
address I will print a 4x6 print on the Photosmart 8750 and 2650 and you
can look for yourself. mailto:[email protected]

NOW WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THE 8450 AND 8250

Re: 8250 (vs 8450 . . .)

Started out looking for a "deal" on eBay. Nothing really worth the wait.
Prices went up to, beyond retail. Went down to local retailer w/images on a
chip. Quality was equal to, more than I expected, or better said, met my
needs. Bit the bullet and bought retail. Working out fine.

Local retailer has a "GOOD deal" on six-pack ink packages. On the flip
side, HP appears to be hiding their 17ml black '02' cartridge. Cannot find
via Internet ink supplier.
