When I click Newsgroups under the Outlook Express Tools dropdown, all I am
able to see is a brief three word Title which does not identify the specific
subject matter. In other words, I can see "microsoft.public.windowsxp". What
I want is to see the rest of it: "basics", "general", "help and support",
etc,. Any way to do it?

Put your cursor on the line between "Newsgroup" and "Description", and when
it turns to a cross, just drag the column width until you can see all the
newsgroup name.

Sure. As with almost all such windows, the column widths are
resizable. Drag the divider between the headings "Newsgroup" and
"Description" to the right.

The same thing works in Windows Explorer, My Computer, Open
dialog boxes, etc.

And sometimes you can just double-click on that line -
works for me at least. But you might need to do it
again if a longer name comes up.
