On selecting a distribution list in the TO/CC fields, it
shows the name of each of the entries in the distribution
list. Is their anyway to display their email address
instead of their names?

Some versions of Outlook allow you to configure the display name. Others do
not.
You did not even specify your version. Makes answering a challenge. You
should also specify more precisely just where you want the address to
display.

I am currently using Outlook 2000 (version 9.0.0.2711).
Say I am using the distribution list in the CC field. I
want the list name to be expanded to the email addresses
and displayed in the CC field.

Thanks for your response.

You would have to change the Display Name individually for each Contact.
You can only do that if you are running Corp/Workgroup mode. You must double
click the email field in the Contact Record to access that dialog.

Can I come in on this? I have Outlook version 3000 - can I change the way that email addresses are displayed when I click the "To" button. I see that there is a field in contacts called E-Mail Display As. Irritatingly (for me!) it defaults to Christian Name Surname - ie John Smith. I would like the default to be Smith, John. Anyway I can change them all with a click (please don't tell me I have to do them all individually!)

I am afraid it will take us a long time to catch up to the version that you
are using.
