Expand registry in win 2000?

Friend has a laptop her daughter gave her.
Gets message at start up registry needs to be expanded.
"Help" was no help so please help

Can you post the exact text of the message? The registry and backups are not
compressed in Windows 2000.

To increase registry quota Control Panel|System|Advanced|Performance
Options|Change, then under "Registry Size" you can set the value to a higher
number.

Finally looked for expand registry in google. Second hit had the full answer.
