expand folders when mail arrives

I am using Windows Me and Office 2000 premium.

I have made a folder called "Friends" and inside that folder I made other
folders, like:
"John"
"Mary"
"Ted"
etc......

When a rule puts a new email into the subfolder "John", the main folder
("Friends") does not turn bold and let me know there is a new message in one
of its subfolders.

Also, the subfolder does not automatically expand down below the main
folder. (I am used to having the folders expand because I have used Outlook
Express for years.)

Does anybody have a macro that will make the subfolder drop down and turn
bold when new email arrives?

Thanks

Outlook 2003 provides a SelectFolder method that will expand the folder
hieararchy to display the folder you want, but aside from that you are out
of luck I'm afraid. Also, the folder will only be bolded if there are
messages within it that are unread.
