EXP 6 windows don't open properly when linked

Recently my system has stopped opening the window of a
linked page in the full mode. All I get is a small
window that has to be expanded. This does not happen on
the initial link. I can expand to the full page when I
use the expand button.
 
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.
