Exiting back to the desktop

I am using Access2000. I have several forms. The first form
opens when I click on the corresponding Icon on my desktop.
I would like to exit the application by clicking an Exit
control button on one of the forms.

I 've tried DoCmd.exit, this closes the form, but it
takes me to the Access Database window instead of taking
me back to the desktop.

i would apprecaite yor help on this.
