Hi all,

Password genarators enough. Question: does there exist a generator
that transforms a word or short phrase (like "mijn ontbijt staat
klaar") in something like "s6jj<Ghkl+JJ%etc"?

I always fear that (random) generated passwords (that cannot be
memorized) get lost ...

Thanks for any suggestion, Fred

Encoder will do exactly what you require. 8kb download. Standalone exe.

The trick is to have the same 'key' as your 'source'. eg:

'mijn ontbijt staat klaar' as source and as key1 using full
alphanumeric coding gives:

])-;B';\6)-\B/\44\B=[44.

Decoding ])-;B';\6)-\B/\44\B=[44. with 'mijn ontbijt staat klaar' as
key1 gives 'mijn ontbijt staat klaar'

It gives the option to save to log which gives nice backup.

It also does ROTn. Lovely little app.

Very good advice. Thank you.

What do you folks do when it rains? Do you have to collect it and pump
it out?? That would be a lot of pumping!

Yep, see eg http://www.hkv.nl/engels/projectin/pr119.html

It rains approx 750 mm/year so you can calcute how much water there is
to be pumped away. More of course because it seeps back. It is a
rather precise job; where I live a discussion is going on to increase
the water table with 10 cm. Farmers don't like that: difficulties with
their (heavy) machinery in early spring. But good for nature.
