I've noticed there are Microsoft people around here. This is my problem. I
have tried to look inside some EXEcs with DUMPBIN.exe and was told that it
cannot do it although MS has mentioned it somewhere. The Help info was that
it is good for both DLL and EXE files. Anyhow, the error message I got when
I actually tried was that I should do it with EXEHDR.exe and the only place
I could find it is this: http://www.os2bbs.com/Download/tools.html
(allegedly). I mean I got there, went through their "security" checks, read
all warnings, ignored the offer to leave my credit card information and
tried to download the file. It is there. The problem was that my signon was
ignored as if I never did it. I may try to do it again. I have a few
questions in this regard.

(1) Is it a reputable place to deal with? It is supposed to be a BBS, free
file exchange bulletin board.
(2) Do you know of any other place where this file can be had?
(3) Do you know of any other applications that can do the same work or
better?
(4) I am interested in decoding some binary file content as much as I can;
do you know of any related applications that can help?
(5) That BBS is advertised as an OS/2 place; is it possible to use
EXEHDR.exe in the Windows environment?

Thanks.

If you're just after a binary lister/editor then XVI32 will do very
nicely. It's free and you can get it from here:
www.chmaas.handshake.de
For simple .exe files you can also use debug.exe, included in
all versions of Windows.
