I have a laptop networked to my main computer. I can not
open any executable files on the laptop. It just comes
back with the error message that the file can not be
found, have I typed in the address correctly. I can not
even access a CD to carry out a repair install, or access
system info to turn on remote access. What is wrong and
what can I do?

Windows® XP File Association Fixes

The files listed here are all ZIP files, which contain a REG (Registry) file.
Download the ZIP and open it. Extract the REG file to your hard disk and double
click it. Answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad.
Each of the REG files contains the default settings for the file extension
indicated. For the ZIP file fix, the download is a REG file, since ZIP's aren't
working anyway!
