Is the Antispyware program compatable with and/or
recommended for use on a computer running Exchange 2000
Enterprise Edition and Windows 2000 Server?

Thanks

There is a post from a month or two ago where an Exchange admin was asking
how to revcover exchange from installing MSAS on his Exchange server.

I have installed it successfully on a Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 server
but they did not have SQL or Exchange on them.

Just my opinion: You should not be in a position to need antispyware on ANY
server.

Hi Daniel,
This beta is not suggested for any production machines. There is however,
a glimmer at the end of the tunnel. MS is preparing an Enterprise version
of an AntiSpyware tool. Details, release schedule, pricing not at all known
at this time.

I was dinking around and installed the MS Antispam Beta on
a lab machine running W2KAS and Exchange 2000 SP3. We host
about 10 mailboxes for lab folks(secondary mail) and use
NT Backup to back up the stores.

After installing our backup started breaking. Mainly
delayed write errors, we backup to a UNC pathed file
server. Removed the Beta and it went back to normal. I
didn't expect this result so the old canard about NOT
running Betas on production systems is still wise ;-)
