Exchange server unavailable

After installing the patch for the MSBLAST issue
yesterday, we are now unable to launch Outlook from the
desktop (receiving "Exchange Server is Unavailable").
However, we are able to access the server (and our email)
from the Internet.
Has anyone encountered this before?
Thanks!

We are experiencing this from many of our remotes.
If we connect directly to our office network, it is fine,
but if we use the same computer outside the office, we
get the exchange server unavalable error. You may have
the same problem. I suspect some ISP's are blocking the
traffic. We really need an answer to this so I will tag
along on this post.

I posted on the Exchange 2000 / Misn newsgroup too. There
is another person there who is experiencing the same issue
as well. I've been working with our main office for hours
(I'm in a remote site), but we still haven't been able to
resolve.

The Exchange Exchange Server 200 / Connectivity newsgroup
has even more people with this issue, and a possible
solution. Read the following:

THe reason for this is that ISPs are blocking ports..
read the following:

HS and Microsoft further suggest that Internet Service
Providers and network administrators consider blocking
TCP and UDP ports 135, 139, and 445 for inbound
connections unless absolutely needed for business or
operational purposes.

I just spent 4 hours trying to figure out why my external
users can't connect and then I found this.

I'm getting the same error from a "blasted" XPpro client connecting to
sbs2000. All 9x clients are working fine at this point.
Reinstalled Outlook and it's still happening. I'm currently
bringing the server up to date with patches.

Also, I'm not able to open any events from event viewer on the server.
I can scroll through the events, but they won't open.
